This year was on start a lot of former champions and medailists, plus many new players, which never visited Berlin before. See the list : Firefly, Nils, Wortel, Venomous, Fermy, Zakrzutek - former champions, and Cranith,Maras,Ishamael,Alamar,Horkko,FantasticCat - former medailists, And then coming other buggers (just see the results of both tournaments) ...
Teams tournament main results shortly: 1. Firefly + Cranith (was damn close last year, now made it!)

Continued in time control LinusO last year selected, 2 minutes with 2 seconds delay(=bronstein), what means if You make every move in two seconds, You have always after move 2 minutes on the clocks). Participated in 16 players (17.player - NilsSKBB replaced in 6 round Rezacz who has to leave). 8 rounds of tournament was played. We started tourney about 12 hours and finished about 14:45. Originally we wanted start in 11 hours, but it did take more time to clean the room after breakfast. In each round was played 3 games, each with different partner. System for next game was simply "first change opponent, then partner and try not to play 3x same colors". All 16 players was divided among tables 1 - 4 based on saturday teams results. In case of equal evaluation randomly drawn cards decided. So on first table started winners Firefly,Cranith, followed by Ishamael and Andreufm, on second Maras,Rezacz,Masacre,MessyEmy, etc ... The goal for players was to collect most points on highest tables (called "groups" also). First table was assessed by the coefficient 6, folowed by coefficients 4,3,2 for next tables. Because LinusO was not here and SKAcz was a bit ill, Firefly helped as main voice for starting tourney and then Alamar with pencil and prepared paper table (and cards) after every round collected results and said players if should move one table down or high. This way Alamar perfectly managed system, created in discussions which started already last year after tourney on czech forum (but in english also) especially among SKAcz,Alamar and Wir.

This year continued tradition of organizing 2 tourneys.
One in fastest bughouse ever, what no doubt 3 minutes for game is. The speed (and its not about moving only but about teamworking in real time) You can see later on videos - 3 different cameras recorded finale match!
Second continued in tradition of LinusO time control selected, ie 2 minutes with 2 seconds for move delay(bronstein), where fastest hands do not play role, but fastest minds still count in! And with changing partners to have yesterday opponents also as partners today.
One can like game where every second count, one game where every good move count in solid speed. This year again everybody could get experience in both time formats. And everybody got chance to excel in speed and quality he is best in. The feedback of players how they liked that or that will be interresting.
In Berlin 2012 tourneys played 6 former winners of bughouse tourney and another 6 who won silver or bronze already before. And more new strong players came. Damn strong this year! We missed LinusO here, but the number of strong participants was amazing. If You made blunders after lanch pause in teams tourney, You could easy be only spectator for finales

Firefly dominated ! Firefly won both tourneys. In teams (3 minutes) Firefly + Cranith are new champions! Individuals tourney (2 minutes with 2 seconds delay=bronstein) won again Firefly. But was tough matches and finale, until last game wasnt clear which team will be the winner. Linus missed this year in Berlin, but former multiple bughouse chess champion, young Nils Grandelius managed to make very strong team together with Ishamael and hardly gone for gold.
